Description
Shiftouris is a family-run Cypriot taverna in residential Larnaca, located on Leontiou Machaira Street. Four generations of the same family have been cooking kleftiko for over 120 years — lamb slow-cooked for 6–8 hours in large clay ovens until tender and falling off the bone.
The menu is small and includes souvlakia, seftalia, loukaniko, halloumi with village potatoes, and sides like pourgouri. The setting is simple, with a focus on the food. The family runs the restaurant themselves and welcomes both locals and visitors.
Prices range from €10–15 per person. It’s best to call ahead to reserve kleftiko, as it often sells out. Cash is preferred. Takeaway is available. Located outside tourist areas, Shiftouris mainly serves a loyal local clientele.
